Welcome to UIM. We're a small mom & pop indie label based in Franklin,Tennessee. We produce Americana roots music of the red dirt, or ya'll-ternative flavor. We have been in the music business for more than 30 years as writers, producers, and performers. To make a baseball analogy, UIM is a minor league team. Triple A ball. The difference being, we're not waiting around to be called up from the farm team. We are putting our music out there and letting the listeners decide if they like it or not. If you asked the folks at Sony if we were the competition, they would probably bust a gut laughing at you. The good news is, here at our label we have very little overhead, and tiny little headaches. The only headaches around here are dished out by mom with a fryin' pan. The chain of command has only a few links. This allows us to make records in a relaxed atmosphere out here in the woods. Just imagine how wonderful the music biz would be if all the mom & pop labels ruled the world. Wouldn't it be nice! Well, that's it for the intro.
